[Dictator-for-Life]

Here it isN'T! A paying contest that is now over!!!!

Your mission: come up with a main storyline and at least 1 piece of concept art (kudos to those with more than one).

Reward: $5 paid by your's truly, Dictator-for-Life.

Duration: Three weeks starting today to get your entries in. One week of polling. Entries must be in by 11:59PM (PST) March 8, 2009.

Requirements: Idea must be original, appropriate.

Judging: Entries will be put up in a poll for the public to vote.
Judging Rules: You CANNOT vote for you own idea (only losers do that <cough> <George Bush> <cough>). NO REWARD if you are the only one in the contest. NO WINNING BY DEFAULT. Ties will go up for an elimination round. Ties occuring after that, will also be determined the same way. Polling takes place March 8-14, 2009.

Other: I am paying you $5, which is more money than you are getting paid to do your Biology homework. $5 is cheap, but technically, I am giving it away for free.

Here's the dealio.

I don't care how bad your concept art is, just so it can be interpreted by us CG artists. We will be the ones turning it from 2D to 3D. Just give us an idea. It's the thought that counts, right?

I didn't want to say that this contest was for the game we were going to make because that's up to us and not to me. If we wanted, the winner's idea COULD be starred in our game, BUT that's later. I will bank ALL ideas for later use.

Related to that, ANY storyline can be adapted for ANY type of game. UNLESS, your character lives inside of a sidescroller (though, if it was mentioned that your character lives inside of a sidescrolling world or an FPS, we could screw around and make the camera completely opposite..). It does not matter what type of game, just make a storyline.

This contest knows no genre. Give us a story, and I can be applied to ANY game. I kid you not. It could even apply to turn-based games. <GASP!> <AMAZING!>

yes, its an RTS. yes, its an underground RTS. yes i know nobody wants to make one, and i know this game is too complicated. thats ok. i don't care if we ever make it. i just got this great idea, wrote it up, and now i'm submitting it. those $5 are mine!
